Common Masternode Errors
To determine wether your masternode is operating correctly, please run the 'masternode status' command on the node's console.
A working node will indicate something along the lines of 'Masternode started successfully'. You can further observe the 'Active Since' column of the wallet to see if the time is being updated.
Using the (CTRL+F (windows)) function on a page like: https://pivx.bitcoiner.me/masternodes/list/ can help you see how the rest of the network is seeing your node.
Common fixes for masternodes include:
- Restarting the masternode and trying to run the start command.
- Confirming the 'masternodeprivkey' line in the masternode's pivx.conf is matching the privkey found in the main wallet's masternode.conf
- Checking the IP address entered in masternode.conf
